CASE STUDY

Located in Walthamstow, London, Lockwood Reservoir is one of the ten Walthamstow reservoirs that provide drinking water to London.

In mid-July of this year Thames Water commissioned Esher Scaffolding to erect structures around the reservoir’s three valve towers so urgent maintenance work could be completed.

Ten operatives were deployed, and structures around all three towers were erected over a two-week period.

With much of the work on the towers being completed over water this project provided several challenges.

One of the solutions that made this project unique was the use of the official Esher Scaffolding Dinghy boat.

This ingenuity ensures the project was completed thoroughly and on schedule.
